
Zak Mustille is a junior at IU Jacobs School of Music, pursuing a BM in Piano Performance, a Minor in Composition, and a Certificate in Scoring for Visual Media. Among Mustille’s award-winning compositions are a string quartet that earned 2nd in the 2021 Pacific Musical Society Virtual Showcase, a string trio that won the 2020 San Francisco Contemporary Music Players’ Victor Salvo Scholarship, and a solo violin piece that garnered 1st in the 2020 Kris Getz Competition at the SFCM Pre-College. In 2024, Mustille composed a concerto for flute and orchestra that was performed by the Diablo Valley College Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Owen Lee.
